Burn it away, why?

Watching all these people just throwing their lives out
Burning them up, It's like they're turning the lights out
On the house
Because they're ready to move out
But they just keep living in the dark

On one hand I want to reach out to them
To take my candle and kindle their flames
So their lights would glow bright again

But I know they would just push me away
That this is the way they're already determined to stay
So I'm forced to watch as they simply waste away

Sitting in the dark
Nothing but a lit cherry ta light their way
